Charlotte Smith is a great athlete. North Carolina native is the only female to have her number retired by the University of North Carolina women’s basketball team. People still remember when she hit the winning bucket in the 1994 NCAA championship game with seven tenths of a second to go. It has been called the “most dramatic shot in the history of women’s basketball”. In high school, she won the 1600 meter state championship in gym shoes! Today at 32 she is a veteran of the WNBA, having spent six years with the Charlotte Sting, and now with the Indiana Fever. Her high caliber of play is matched by her outstanding Christian testimony. On a recent Face to Face, she had this to say: “Sometimes, the only Bible people will ever read is your lifestyle, and the way you live your life, and so I just try to live my life, and be a living and walking Bible.”
