Raising Boys The Zeller WayRAISING BOYS THE ZELLER WAY

Steve, Lorri Zeller Pen Book About Parenting, Basketball

“How did they do it—raise kids like that?” writes legendary Indiana sportswriter Bob Hammel in the book’s foreword.

In Raising Boys The Zeller Way, Steve and Lorri Zeller—parents of Luke, Tyler, and Cody Zeller—answer that question and many more.

Luke, Tyler, and Cody each won Indiana’s coveted Mr. Basketball award and helped lead Washington High School to four State championships from 2005 to 2011. From there, they each went on to play at the top level of college basketball, and then earn contracts in the NBA.

However, as prestigious and unique their basketball accomplishments, what took place inside the Zeller household under the direction of parents Steve and Lorri might hold even more acclaim. Their children’s integrity, character, and faith go far beyond any accomplishment on the hardwood, and is a direct reflection of their upbringing.

“Each of the Zeller boys was a near straight-A student, tops in his high school class,” writes Hammel in the foreword. “Each isn’t at all bashful about carrying a Bible around. Reading it occasionally. Citing it. And each is a happy, fun-loving, prank-playing, quick-quipping kid.”

In Raising Boys The Zeller Way, Steve and Lorri Zeller provide an inside look at the principles they implemented in their household and share transparent and entertaining anecdotes about their par-enting journey that involves one of Indiana’s most unique stories in its rich basketball history.

“Getting to know Steve, Lorri, Luke, Tyler, and Cody Zeller has truly been one of the highlights of my life,” says University of North Carolina head basketball coach Roy Williams. “Every occasion with the family was a joy. Steve and Lorri should be THE role model for parenting in today’s basketball culture. How pleasant they made a life!”
