NCAA women's basketball teams across the country are wearing pink uniforms in honor of North Carolina State women's coach Kay Yow. Yow has stage 4 breast cancer, but she continues to coach. Kay is also a dedicated Christian and a member of the Face to Face Board of reference. Fans at the games are also being encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Think all major league umpires are old, crusty guys? Check out Ted Barrett and Rob Drake, two veteran major league umps, who have started a ministry called "Calling for Christ". Through retreats, on line Bible Studies, and encouragement, they are working with other umpires, mostly minor leaguers, to help them become spiritually grounded. Barrett is an ex-boxer with a seminary degree, and Drake is a Christian who writes a daily blog here. Face to Face is proud to be a partner ministry with these two men of God.
